Introduction

We developed a comprehensive AI powered Legal Tech Innovation Suite that transforms how law firms handle their daily operations spanning from automated legal drafting to workflow and time management. By integrating fine tuned LLMs with retrieval augmented generation workflows, we enabled legal professionals to work smarter, faster, and with greater accuracy.

Challenge

Legal practitioners face two major productivity bottlenecks. First, drafting legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and filings requires precision, domain knowledge, and countless hours of manual review. Second, administrative workflows such as creating time slips, extracting case details, and logging tasks are often repetitive and error prone. The lack of integration between these domains meant lawyers spent disproportionate time on non billable work, leading to reduced efficiency and profitability.

Solution

We built a dual stream AI solution that addresses both core pain points.

Intelligent Document Drafting

We leveraged GPT 4o mini, fine tuned on legal corpora, to generate contracts, briefs, and legal templates with 95 percent accuracy and 92 percent quality rating. Dataset engineering curated supervised Q and A pairs and automated training pipelines using Transformers and Azure or AWS GPU environments. This ensured drafts adhered to specialized language and reduced partner level review time by over 50 percent.

Workflow Automation with RAG and Automation

We enabled time slip automation by allowing AI agents to extract durations from case documents and map them to specific matters with task codes. Context aware summarization was deployed using a RAG powered chatbot for quick legal data retrieval and document summarization. The automation backbone was built with a Python backend and a React NextJS frontend, fully integrated with Azure DevOps CI/CD.
